Ghana has deployed troops from the 48, 49 and 50 Engineer Regiments to support Jamaica’s reconstruction efforts following the devastation caused by Hurricane Melissa.
President John Mahama, at a parade held on Wednesday, December 17, formally bid farewell to the contingent.

Last month, the government presented relief items to victims of the ongoing war in Sudan, as well as to communities affected by Hurricane Melissa in Jamaica and Cuba.
