The Volta Regional Coordinating Council (VRCC) has extended its heartfelt congratulations to Togbe Afede XIV, Agbogbomefia of the Asogli State, on his appointment to the 12-member Presidential Advisory Group on the Economy.
In a press release signed by Mr James Gunu, the Volta Regional Minister, the Council described the appointment as a testament to the deep respect Togbe Afede XIV has earned across political, business, and traditional leadership circles over the years.
The statement expressed particular satisfaction that the chieftaincy institution is represented at such a high level of national economic policy engagement, noting that the selection of Togbe Afede XIV reflects recognition of his distinguished leadership, proven business acumen and extensive experience in enterprise and governance.
According to the release, the Council is confident that his unwavering commitment to Ghana’s socio-economic advancement uniquely positions him to offer strategic insights to support the country’s economic transformation.
It added that his expertise in fiscal management and industrial development will be a valuable asset to the work of the advisory group.
The VRCC noted that his nomination, alongside other eminent personalities from academia, public service and the private sector, underscores the confidence reposed in his leadership and contributions to national development.
The statement concluded with prayers for divine guidance and strength for Togbe Afede XIV as he undertakes the new national responsibility, expressing confidence that he will serve with distinction and continue to bring honour to the Volta Region and the nation at large.
