Our insights capture the pulse of daily commutes, lively airport experiences, professional endeavors, and thrilling nightlife, highlighting a significant increase in the uptake of digital services across the country. At the forefront of this urban evolution, Yango app is helping to redefine how Ghanaians explore and engage with their vibrant city life!
● Economy leads the way: The Economy tariff became the top choice among Yango Ride passengers in 2025. Affordable and dependable rides established themselves as the preferred option for daily travel throughout Ghana. Ghanaians love to bargain for almost everything! Food, clothing, jewelry etc. But with economy on Yango, they can move without bargaining
● With close to 1,000 rides, one passenger has established a new record in Ghana: certain individuals have seamlessly woven Yango into their everyday routines. This impressive feat features a single passenger completing an astonishing 946 trips within a single year—averaging more than three rides per day! Incredible!
● Toyota Vitz was the star in our flag: The Toyota Vitz was ubiquitous in 2025, dominating the roads of Accra as the most frequently booked vehicle on Yango Ride. Its fuel efficiency, dependability, and low operating costs made it a favorite among both partners and drivers, while passengers also appreciated it.

● Which areas did Ghanaians visit the most? - The airport, shopping malls, bus terminals and entertainment hubs topped the list of most popular destinations in 2025. Passengers often went to:
- Kotoka International Airport, Kotoka Terminal 3
- Accra Mall, Middle Gate
- Circle VIP Station
- Osu Oxford Street
- ‘’Osikani’’ Passenger (The affluent passenger) : The most expensive trip of the year was GHS 1,363, highlighting the high earning opportunities available through Yango for partner drivers while also reiterating that Yango caters to every kind of mobility needs— whether it’s a short trip to Accra Mall or a long trip to Tema Harbour, you’re sorted.
● Airport trips: Airport journeys saw an increase in 2025, with almost 140,000 trips booked via the Yango app. From early-morning departures to late-night arrivals, Yango facilitated smooth travel for riders to and from the airport.
- Lost but found items: Yes, Ghanaians often forget a lot of things from gadgets to wallets. The most common things left behind in a Yango ride were a smartphone ,shopping bags and wallets. There were some unusual items which included a Ghana flag, food packs and a portable bluetooth speaker.
- Moving something? Or somewhere?: Through the Cargo option in Yango Delivery, the most common use case was to move furniture.
- Impact : In 2025, Yango impacted many young Ghanaians with social responsibility initiatives such as Youth and career day visit to Kaneshie Secondary & Technical School and the 2nd edition of the Urban Mobility Hackathon with participation from 6 universities across Ghana. The Yango STEM fellowship, an initiative designed to support STEM students with funding, mentorship and career guidance was also expanded to 6 more countries with Ghana included.
