The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has reiterated its commitment to ensuring that all six regions created in 2019, including the Western North Region, benefit from tangible development initiatives.
The assurance was given by the party’s National Chairman, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, during a visit to the region.
Speaking on a two-day thank-you tour, Mr. Asiedu Nketia said the NDC is best placed to turn the creation of the new regions into real improvements in infrastructure, education, and social services.
“We are determined to ensure that the administrative creation of these regions translates into meaningful development that improves the lives of our people,” he stated.
The tour took him across several districts, including Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai, Sefwi Wiawso, Bia West, Bia East, Juaboso, Bodi, Akontombra, Suaman, and Aowin, where he met with traditional leaders, religious figures, party executives, and residents.
Addressing residents in Juaboso, the NDC Chairman expressed gratitude for the continued support the party enjoys in the Western North Region, even during challenging political periods.
“Your loyalty will not be taken for granted. We will match your support with concrete development interventions,” he assured.
Mr. Asiedu Nketia further revealed plans to establish a nursing training college in the Western North Region and confirmed that other major infrastructure projects being rolled out in different parts of the country would also be extended to the region.
