The 2026 edition of the Joy FM Big Workout is currently underway at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium, with hundreds of participants taking part in the opening health walk.
From the early hours of the morning, corporate executives, fitness enthusiasts and young professionals converge at the stadium car park, trading business wear for sneakers as the day’s activities begin with a brisk, coordinated walk through parts of Accra.
The walk starts from the University of Ghana Stadium and proceeds towards the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), passing through the Trinity Church area before pushing on to the Bawaleshie traffic light.
Participants will then make the final turn at Okponglo and head back to the stadium, setting a steady pace that blends fitness with camaraderie.
Joy FM presenters and staff of The Multimedia Group are actively walking alongside participants, engaging the crowd and creating a lively, interactive atmosphere along the route.
Organised by The Multimedia Group, the Joy FM Big Workout has become a flagship wellness event aimed at promoting healthy lifestyles and encouraging regular physical activity among Ghanaians.
After the health walk, participants are expected to return to the stadium for aerobics sessions led by professional fitness instructors, accompanied by live music and other fitness activities.
The much-anticipated Corporate Wellness Challenge is also expected to take place later in the morning, with institutions competing in full corporate colours.
