The 2026 edition of the Joy FM Big Workout came to a colourful close on Saturday at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium, bringing together fitness, fun and entertainment in a celebration of healthy living.
Hundreds of participants thronged the stadium in the early hours of the morning for the traditional health walk, which set the tone for the day’s activities. Corporate executives, fitness enthusiasts and young professionals traded their weekday routines for sneakers and activewear as they embarked on a brisk, coordinated walk through key parts of Accra.
The walk started from the University of Ghana Sports Stadium, moved through the Trinity Church area towards the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), continued to the Bawaleshie traffic light, before making a final turn at Okponglo and returning to the stadium.
Joy FM presenters and staff of the Multimedia Group walked alongside participants, engaging them throughout the route and creating a lively, interactive atmosphere that blended exercise with camaraderie.

After the walk, the stadium came alive with aerobics sessions led by professional fitness instructors, supported by upbeat music and other fitness-related activities that kept participants energised well into the morning.
The event enjoyed strong backing from sponsors including Ayuda, The Game Energy Drink, New Crystal Hospital, Ernest Chemist Limited, Reedy Vitamin C and Afriwara, whose presence reinforced the event’s strong health and wellness focus.
Organised by the Multimedia Group, the Joy FM Big Workout has grown into one of Ghana’s leading wellness events, championing active lifestyles and reminding Ghanaians of the importance of regular physical activity for overall wellbeing.
As the curtains fell on the 2026 edition, participants left not only refreshed and entertained but also re-inspired to make fitness and healthy living a part of their everyday lives.
