Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited (GGBL) has held its annual Key Distributor (KD) conference at the plush Royal Senchi Hotel, to celebrate and reward deserving distributors.
The beverages maker also used the conference to map out strategies for the future.
Running on the theme "together towards tomorrow" the two-day conference presented the opportunity to both GGBL and Key Distributors to deliberate on a shared vision that will ultimately improve final consumer experience of brands produced by GGBL.
Speaking at the conference, Peter Ndegwa, Managing Director of GGBL said ‘our key distributors are key partners of our business. They play a vital role in our value chain and form a critical link between our premium products and consumers. This conference is to celebrate our partners – the KDs for their dedication and commitment throughout the years. We are confident that with their continuous support we will achieve our vision to be the most vibrant and iconic business in Ghana.
As part of the conference, Lesken Enterprise based in Bolgatanga was adjudged the overall best Key Distributor for 2014, not only for delivering the highest volume growth over the prior period, but also for putting in the level of investment that contributed to exceeding his targets plus honoring his financial obligations for the period under review. He was followed by HR Boakye Ventures in Accra and Baah Enterprise based in Wa who also showed outstanding performance.
Commenting on the awards Ken Aneweneh CEO of Lesken Enterprise, said ‘I feel great, motivated and encouraged to repeat another outstanding year in 2015. I am grateful to the management of GGBL for recognizing our efforts’.
Luck Ochieng, Sales Director of GGBL expressed his appreciation to all Key Distributors for their continued effort and contribution to the growth of the business and further indicated that competition is going to be keen but with focus on the core performance indicators, success will be guaranteed for the KDs.
The conference was climaxed with the launch of Star Lite Beer, Ghana’s first lite beer.
