President John Evans Atta Mills, has appointed Mr. E.D Richard Kumah Lanyon as Acting Commissioner of Customs, Excise and Preventive Service(CEPS).A ststement signed by Mr. Mahama Ayariga, Presidential Spokesperson, said the new Acting CEPS Commissioner, who was born on April 16, 1951, attended Kpando Secondary School and joined CEPS on March 1972.It said Mr Lanyon gained admission to the University of Ghana in 1985 and obtained a Bachelor Arts (B.A) in Political Science and Sociology in 1988.The statement said until his appointment, he was the Assistant Commissioner of CEPS in charge of Customs Operations and Techniques.Source:GNA
