The historic visit of United States President Barack Obama to Ghana has once again projected Ghana and Africa into global limelight with international media giants such as CNN, BBC, ALJAZEERA, VOA, to mention but a few, exposing Ghana and Africa to the world’s business climate and making it a potential business destination.
Three billion viewers across the world will be marveling at the wonder called Ghana that managed to attract the American President just a few months into his presidency.
Come September 1 -3 2009 at the Sheraton Toronto Centre Hotel in Canada ,Africa will once again be the focus as over 6,000 business minds ranging from destination managers, to real estate operators, investors, government officials, corporate sectors, travel, tourism and hospitality sectors, airline operators and all those who matter in the tourism industry will meet to showcase, dialogue and network at the African Travel Expo 2009.
In a press statement to Nordic Africa News, Paige Campbell, the Expo's Head of Communication, said, “The Expo which will take place from September 1st to the 3rd will feature exhibitors promoting travel, tourism and real estate and other formidable products from Africa."
The three-day expo expects over 150 exhibitors and 5,000 visitors. Exhibitors will include members from travel and tourism, real estate, government and corporate sectors.
Africa Travel & Real Estate Expo is a huge platform that seeks to provide to the Canadian and American consumers and tourists information on travel, tourism, business, and real estate and solid investment opportunities in Africa by bringing together African-based organisations, businesses and government officials with Canadian business/Leisure tourists, buyers, travel & real estate industry professionals, and the media.
In an interview with Mr Hillarius McCash Akpah Snr, the Country Partner of African Travel Expo and the Chairman of Target 100 Destinations, he quoted the words of the President of the African Travel Expo, Patience Chirisa, that "Africa, to a large extent, has bucked the global slowdown and has shown growth in travel, branding opportunities and investment.
“Africa remains a continent with vast investment opportunities and Canada exhibits a steady economic growth. The African Travel Expo is bringing both worlds together”.
The Expo will effectively market to consumers by offering complimentary seminars on African travel and real estate products.
