Delta Air Lines has increased its scheduled service between Accra’s Kotoka International Airport and New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport.
It is expected to operate daily during the peak summer season from now until 24 October.
A statement signed by Bobby Brian, Commercial Manager of the airline in West and East Africa, said the move is to ensure requisite service delivery for its customers and to ensure that passengers benefit from increased scheduled service for the peak summer season.
“We’re increasing nonstop travel between Accra and New York JFK during the summer, when the demand is highest, as many of our passengers are travelling to see friends and relatives.”
“Our schedule has been timed to make it easier for passengers arriving at Delta’s New York-JFK gateway to make connections to over 35 cities in the U.S,” he said.
The airline has recently been under a barrage of criticisms from some of its customers for poor services, leading to a query from Transport Minister, Mike Hammer but the airline believes the new arrangements will improve service considerably.
