Corporate Communications Manager of Zain Ghana, Carmen Bruce-Annan, has urged pupils of Odumase Presby JHS to take their education seriously to become great people in society. “We want to see doctors, architects, journalists and lawyers from this school. But you can only become any of these if you study hard”, she said. Madam Bruce-Annan gave this advice when her outfit visited the school to reiterate their commitment and support on Tuesday and also to welcome the children on their first day at school. The Zain team, together with press men were taken round the newly built state of the art school block, the computer lab and the fully stocked library. Madam Bruce-Annan encouraged the pupils to take advantage of the ICT facility available as well as the library in order to excel in their examinations and become competent users of the internet and computer. “Books are not for show, books are for reading and for knowledge”, she added. She, however, emphasized that as part of Zain’s support for the school, it has made available a computer teacher to ensure that both teachers and pupils of Odumase Presby gain knowledge in ICT. According to her, Zain’s visit to the school was to ensure that the good work they started continues and to help it generate revenue to maintain the newly built edifice through the lease of the computer lab to pupils from neighboring schools and others in the community. Zain also donated lap desks with alphabets and animals drawn on top to children in nursery and kindergarten to help them in their education. Dorcas Efe Mensah/myjoyonline.com/Ghana
