Sadick Adams has been urged to button up and pick himself up from the disappointment of missing out on the World Youth Championships rather than blame mischief for his exclusion.
The striker was axed from Ghana's squad for the prestigious youth tournament in Egypt before claiming he is the victim of mischief by some football officials.
FIFA has since confirmed that a ban placed on him for signing for two clubs excludes him from international duty as well.
With suggestions that he has been sacked by Athletico Madrid after the ban, GFA president Kwasi Nyantekyie says Adams' best option is to get on with his football.
"Sadick Adams must realise that there is life after the U-20s and just pick himself up. He clearly made those statements out of ignorance because no body at the GFA has an interest in slowing his career down as he suggested", Nyantekyie said. "He is a fine talent with a big future so he must focus on that."
The GFA boss admits however that the body must refine how they communicate to players their omissions from national teams given the problems they have created.
