On October 3, 2009, Myjoyonline.com published a reader’s article (Opinion piece) titled “Mabey and Johnson bribed nobody…” which article contained a claim that a senior executive of Tullow Oil in Ghana had been dismissed from duty and subsequently extradited to the United States on charges of corruption. Our attention has duly been drawn to the falsehood of the claim and our checks confirm that indeed the allegation is untrue. We have consequently deleted the article from the website. We regret any inconvenience Tullow Oil may have suffered as a result of the false claim and unreservedly apologize to the company and its shareholders for the publication.Source: Myjoyonline.com/Ghana
