When the C.E.O. of the Aphrodisiac Nite Club, Ms Confidence Haugen accused Ghanaian hip-life artiste, Ayigbe Edem of stealing her mobile phone worth about $14,000, it caused quite a stir, with people finding it quite unbelievable that a mobile phone should cost $14,000.
Well, those people are wrong, because there are a number of phones that even cost more than the above stated amount.
For some time now, the most expensive mobile phone, featuring a blinding 120 carats worth of VVS-1 grade diamonds, has been the “Le million”, and as its name states, costs about $1,000,000, but its reign was short-lived when Stuart Hughes, expertly familiar with slapping precious metals onto slightly less precious mobile phones, took Apple’s iPhone 3GS, replaced it with a 22 carat solid gold body, sprinkled about 190 diamonds on it, and to make sure no riff raff can get their hands on it, priced this creation at £1,920,000 ($3,200,000), not bad huh?
