An innovative and cost-effective online fundraising website has been launched in Accra.
Christened, Fundraising Africa, the system allows anyone to raise money online for personal causes or charity.
Throwing light on how the system operates, Mr. Saqib Nazir, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Fundraising Africa explained that the system is a very useful tool in this modern day of technological advancement.
He said updates on funds donated are displayed for transparency and moneys donated are sent to fundraisers’ bank accounts to boost security of donations.

Mr Nazir said donors can contribute towards fundraisers via VISA, MasterCard, and Mobile Money, such as Tigo Cash, Airtel and MTN as well as Interpay.
He adds that there is also an innovative interpay cash transaction code mechanism which allows donors to deposit cash across 18 banks for onward payments to the fundraiser.
“An exciting offer [of the system] is that people from all over the world can contribute towards worthy causes from the comfort of their homes or the nearest banks or mobile money agents,” he said.
All forms of fundraising activities for, individual or personal purpose, charity, event, businesses/NGO, political, religious (Churches/Mosques) and sports can utilize the system for efficiency, he said.
He urged the general public to get involved and subscribe to the system since it has added benefits that would make any project a reality by getting support of relevant stakeholders from around the world.
He announced a free registration or upload of a project onto the Fundraising Africa platform.
The launch, which was held at the premises of Fundraising Africa at North Ridge in Accra, brought together stakeholders operating in charitable organisations.
