Fire gutted a seven-bedroom house, destroying all property of the landlord and tenants at Russia, a suburb of Accra on Thursday.
Personnel of the Ghana National Fire Service managed to prevent the fire from spreading to other houses within the vicinity.
Sandra Boateng, who briefed GNA on the incident, said the fire started when both the landlord and the tenants were out of the premises.
Mr. Theophilus Tetteh Chaie, Member of Parliament for the area, presented plates, cups, mattresses, used clothing and food items to the victims and rented temporary accommodation for them at a hotel.
He gave the assurance that government would equip the Dansoman Fire Station with the necessary equipment to enable it to respond promptly to fire outbreaks.
