2013 Bank of the Year, Access Bank, has reassigned Matilda Asante as Head of Private and Women Banking.
Until her new appointment, she was Head, Corporate Communications and Branding Management.
Nana Adu Kyeremateng now takes over from Matilda as the company’s corporate communications manager.
Matilda Asante expressed “delight” at the new challenge.
Matilda Asante-Asiedu is a seasoned Communications Specialist with over 17 years experience in Corporate Communications, Public Relations and Media Practice.
For more than 12 years (1997 to 2009), Matilda was one of the most influential journalists in Ghana, shaping national discourse.
She managed the entire corporate communications functions of the Bank, promoting effective, client and stakeholder relations. Prior to joining Access Bank, Matilda worked as the News Editor at Joy Fm, Ghana’s foremost private media empire.
Matilda is a fellow of the Les Aspin Centre for Governance USA, One World Broadcast Trust UK, and the International Women’s Media Forum USA. She acquired her Masters in Media Studies from the Cardiff University in the United Kingdom and holds several post-graduate diplomas in Development Communications and Journalism.
