The event which is scheduled to take place at 4:00pm would be chaired by former Minister of Energy and former Second Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Professor Mike Oquaye. The occasion is expected to be graced by former President John Kufuor, Nana Agyenim Boateng I (Omanhene of Amoamang) and several other dignitaries.
The book’s contents tackle topics such as: Are The Political Elites The Enemy?; Civil Society Organisations In Helping The Youth; Becoming A Politician: Creating Your Own Army; Towards A Progressive National Youth Policy; Youth Employment, Skills Training And Entrepreneurship; National Service Scheme And Job Centres; and Youth Entrepreneurship, Apprenticeship & Volunteering.
“There is no simple way to solving the African youth question. This book seeks to make a simple but no ordinary call on all stakeholders to take steps and help solve the youth question across the continent. This is a call, which does not require guns and machetes, but intellectual and moral weapons without which lasting results can never be secured,” Arnold Boateng noted.
The author further remarked: “There is no doubt that, policies have no legs to walk on into reality. The traditional track for their movement into reality is through programmes deliberately designed and religiously adhered to. Thus the stronger, effective and resourceful an institution is, the better its programmes are implemented and consequently the effectiveness of the policy in the lives of the intended beneï¬ciaries.”
