The Kpone-Katamanso Constituency of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has elected new executives at a delegates' congress with Mr Ellis Aferi, the Chairman, retaining his position.
Alhaji Faham Tetteh, the Vice Chairman, and five other executives were returned unopposed.
They were Mr Neham Charway, Secretary, Mr Anthony Nukpenu, Propaganda Secretary, Alhaji Ibrahim Okwei, Deputy Organizer, Miss Ann Yeboah, Deputy Treasurer and Mr G T Quarcoo, Deputy Propaganda Secretary.
Other elected officers were Mr Emmanuel Nagadzi, Organizer, Mr Cephas Denutsui, Treasurer, Mr Samiratu Mohammed, Women’s Organizer, and Mr Joseph Tettey, Youth Organizer.
Also elected were eight executive members who are Mr Joseph Teye Tetteh, Miss Esther Bodwa, Mr Ebenezer Anim, Mr Samuel Nii Otu Laryea, Mr Rudolf Sebuabe, Mr Samuel Anim Okley, Mr Haruna Mahama and Mariam Yeye Attey.
Mr Joseph Nii Laryea Afotey-Agbo, Minister of State and Member of Parliament for Kpone-Katamanso, urged his constituents to close their ranks and unite.
He told the officers to work relentlessly for the party to retain the parliamentary seat in 2012.
Alhaji Yahaya Kundow, Greater-Accra Regional Treasurer of the NDC who swore the executives into office, asked them to abide by the constitutional provisions of the party.
The chairman-elect, Mr Aferi assured that he and his colleagues would unite the rank and file in order to ensure victory come 2012.
In a related development, Mr Mustapha Darko, Chairman of the Tema East Constituency of the NDC, has also been re-elected at a delegates' conference over the weekend.
Other elected officers were Mr Moses Adzah, Vice Chairman, Mr Baba Abu Abdulai, Secretary, Mr Edward Vandyre, Treasurer, Mr Esther Abbey, Women Organizer, Mr Sazana Adona, Youth Organizer), Mr Lord Hammah, Propaganda Secretary, and Mr Kojogah Dekagbey, Organiser.
Eight were elected as executive members and they are Miss Janet Otoo, Miss Sarah Quarshie, Amana Alhassan, Miss Mercy Fiadzawu, Mr Samuel Amegashie, Mr Richard Amegah, Mr Joseph Hayford and Tanko Zakara.
Mr Robert Kempis Papa Nii Ofosuware, Tema Metropolitan Chief Executive, advised the constituents to unite and work for s victory in 2012.
Both elections were supervised by officials of the Metro office of the Electoral Commission.
