Fire has gutted a number of tire shops at Abossey Okai in Accra Monday evening, Myjoyonline.com has learnt.
Joy News' Derrick Ekow Sam said about four shops are up in flames and billowing thick smoke into the air.
The fire started around 6:30 pm. It is not clear yet what may have caused the fire.
Four fire tenders have moved to the fire scene 30 minutes after the shops went up in flames and personnel of the service are trying desperately to put out the flames.
Ekow Sam said two of the tenders have gone back to refill after as the fire continues to rage on.
No casualty has been reported yet.
The fire was doused around 8:45pm.
