Former New Patriotic Party (NPP) Chairman, Peter Mac Manu, says he is ready to lead the party’s campaign as Nana Akufo Addo prepares to name his Campaign Manager for the 2016 general elections.
Although Mr Mac Manu did not confirm rumours that he has already been given the task of securing an NPP victory in 2016, he says he will be ready to take up that challenge if an official statement corroborates the rumours.
“I am a party member; a true blue party member. [I was a] party Chairman and now Chairman of Organisational Committee of the party so any position that the flagbearer deems fit that I should be challenged to do, by the grace of God I will do it”, Mac Manu said.
Nana Akufo-Addo, the NPP Presidential Candidate for the 2016 presidential election, is expected to name his Campaign Manager next week, but many have tipped Mr Mac Manu to take up the position.
Mr. Mac Manu has been named together with two other top party members – Dan Botwe and Stephen Ntim – for the position.

Dan Botwe

Stephen Ntim
Peter Mac Manu holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with accounting speciality from the School of Administration of the University of Ghana now University of Ghana Business School.
A family man with five kids, Peter Mac Manu has risen through the ranks from polling station executive to holding key national positions in the party.
He was also once the Western Region party Chairman of the party.
His chairmanship saw an increase in constituency seats from 3 in 1996 to 8 in 2000 and then to 12 in the 2004 elections.
Whoever the NPP selects as Campaign Manager would have to be someone who has risen through the ranks of the party hierarchy and commands the respect and trust of all true or perceived factions within the NPP.
