Defending Ghana beach soccer league champions Mighty Warriors took a mighty thump as they were defeated 3 - 2 by in form local side Wuo Gbee.
In a fierce context that produced 5 goals, a red card and several cautions, the home team from Accra eventually carried the day and the three points at stake.
The result means the Warriors from Havedzi have lost consecutive games for the first time since the commencement of the beach soccer league in 2011.
It also enhances the Championship tittle aspirations of the La based Wuo Gbee.
In a superstitious twist to the match, Mighty Warriors hit the wood work of their opponents on five different occasions much to the delight of the supporting La youth.
In another spectacular game, double champions Keta Sunset needed a last minute equaliser from captain Michael Sema to deny Accra based Sea Lions a famous victory. The game was easily the match of the season so far with action swinging from one end to the other.
It ended with the two national team strikers grabbing a brace each. Sea Lions captain Alexander Adjei and his opposite number Michael Sema were outstanding for their teams.

Week 5 also produced the first wins for Winneba Giants and local side Layoca. The Giants condemned Nima to their fifth consecutive defeat as they triumphed 3 - 1. Layoca on the other hand emerged 6 - 2 victors over Tema United.
On a weekend that produced upsets galore, Teshie Bsc defeated Ada Assurance 3 - 1 to claim their first points of the season.
Previously unbeaten Golden Eagles, came crashing down on the sands of La in a 7- 2 demolition by Dansoman Bsc. It was the first time outstanding goal keeper Sandy has conceded more than two goals in a match.
In another game, Gulf Powers beat African Angels 4 - 2 to move up the table.
In probably the tightest game of the day, Volta side Tegbi Youth defeated Nungua Bsc 2 - 0.

Meanwhile the Ghana Beach Soccer League Board has confirmed that all sixteen clubs will outdoor their new jerseys presented by head line sponsor Cal Bank.
The Association is also in talks with a number of coporate bodies to support the league which is currently run on a budget of GHC 44,000 a season.
The total estimated budget is closer to GHC 150,000 a season according to Beach Soccer Ghana.
