Ghana striker John Antwi is out injured after starring in Al Ahly’s famous win at Esperance in the Caf Confederation Cup.
The new signing who had already featured in three domestic games was handed debut by the defending champions in the Caf inter-club competition at the Stade Olympique de Radès on Saturday night.
Antwi scored the only goal of the encounter as earl as the 5th minute and went on to put up a man-of-the-match performance till the 73rd minute when he had to be substituted for an injury.
The former Ismaily forward sustained an ankle sprain after awkwardly spinning his leg while trying to stop a run. He is set for further MRI scans but it is however feared he could be side-lined for up to three weeks.
Antwi has now scored 5 goal in 4 games for the Red Devils who look set to reach the last four of the 2015 Caf Confederation Cup.
