Ghana midfielder Mubarak Wakaso has completed a move to Spanish side UD Las Palmas.
The former Espanyol winger has agreed to join the newly promoted Islanders on a one-year loan with an option to a permanent move from Russian club Rubin Kazan.
Wakaso, 25, will undergo his medical and be officially presented by Las Palmas at the press room of the Estadio de Gran Canaria at 12:30 pm on Monday.
The former AshantiGold trainee has immense knowledge of the Spanish game, having had his first stint in Europe at Elche where he spent three seasons from 2008. He then joined Villarreal in 2011 but switched to Espanyol after one season.
Wakaso got signed by Russian spenders Rubin Kazan in 2013 but the Ghana international struggled to make an impact. He then spent the 2014/15 season on loan at Scottish side Celtic.
This summer, he was close to joining Saudi Arabian side Al-Ittihad and successfully passed his medical but the club pulled out after being alerted of engaging two agents.
Wakaso is expected to leave Spain to join the Ghana national team camp for the 2017 Afcon qualifiers this weekend.
