The Black Queens have won gold at the 2015 All African Games.
The team beat Cameroon in the final in Brazzaville on Friday afternoon to clinch a first-ever gold medal in the history of the Games.
In a very tough encounter, the Queens laboured to break the Lionesses down all game. That is, until Portia Boakye took matters into her hands and volleyed in the 88th minute.
Three minutes before, it had seemed like a bad day for the Queens, after Agnes Aduako was unable to convert a penalty following a foul on Edem Atovor.
For the Queens, this was payback time for Cameroon who beat them recently in two-legged Olympic qualifying to deny Ghana a place at Rio 2016.
Ghana's ladies had also been beaten to silver at the last All Africa Games four years ago, so this was truly redemption time.
Their male counterparts, the Meteors, crashed out at the group stage.
Team Ghana now has 19 medals at the Games - two gold, eight silver and nine bronze.
