If you have to do a tour of Kenya one of the places your tour guide is likely to take you is Fort Jesus in Mombasa. The mammoth edifice was built in 1593 by the Portuguese to secure their safety on the East Coast. Today, the fort attracts thousands of tourists each year. JoyNews’ Abigail Adomako Antwi was in Kenya last month to find out more about the fort, once the centre of enormous hostilities.
