Ghana’s U20 Women’s football team coach Masud Didi Dramani has lauded his team for moving a step closer to qualification for next year’s Fifa U20 Women’s World Cup.
The Black Princesses defeated Equatorial Guinea 2-0 in the second leg qualifier in Kumasi on Sunday.
Dramani’s side relied on two second half goals from winger Lilly Niber Lawrence and striker Veronica Appiah to claim a 3-0 aggregate scoreline.
“All that we had worked on going into the game was a replica of what we saw and i think that the girls did very well,” Dramani told Joy Sports.
“For us we are always modest in victory especially when we know we have one more hurdle to clear before we qualify for the World Cup.
“We just have to work hard and correct the little errors shown in this game so we don’t repeat them in the last game.”
Ghana will now face either Burkina Faso or Ethiopia in the final round qualifier ahead of the World Cup in Papua New Guinea.
