Police last night picked up a young man in connection with the murder of a 28-year-old woman whose body was retrieved from a rubbish bin at the weekend in Tabora, a suburb of Accra.
The woman, identified only as Naomi, was found dead in a rubbish bin in front of a neighbour’s house with her neck and limbs broken.
Police suspected foul play and immediately started pursuing her killers.
Last night a suspect, whose identity has not yet been disclosed, was picked up while walking away from the murder scene.
Eyewitnesses tell Joy News he was handcuffed with a hood over his head to conceal his identity.
He is alleged to be the one who wheeled the rubbish bin from an unknown destination to the point it was discovered.
Police will not give any further information, except to say investigations are ongoing.
