Struggling Asante Kotoko have recalled former assistant coach Johnson Smith to beef up their technical set-up and aid their faltering League campaign.
Smith was released by the club in October last year and returns to take back his position.
Head coach Paa Kwesi Fabin has been without an assistant since Ex-international Yaw Acheampong was released by the club early this year.
"The decision to recall him was taken because the absence of an effective assistant coach affected the head coach on the bench and this has had an effect on some of the substitutions that have often been criticized," A management member told Ghanasoccernet.com
Smith will officially begin work on Wednesday morning at Kotoko's Ridge Park training ground.
Kotoko have plummeted in the Glo Premier League and are currently placed 11th on the log sheet.
