Latest information reaching Myjoyonline indicates that the Chairman of the Confiscated Vehicle Allocation Committee, Carl Wilson, has been sacked.
The information, which was related to Joy News by the National Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr Yaw Gyan Boateng, comes after scores of party supporters massed up at the party headquarters and locked up offices there demanding the dismissal of Mr Wilson.
They accused the Confiscated Vehicle Allocation Committee Chairman of unilaterally selling confiscated vehicles under questionable circumstances.
Mr Boateng told the angry supporters he would join in the protest should there be any decision to reverse Mr Wilson’s axing.
The developments follow months of mounting accusations in the media that Mr Wilson has been involved in certain corrupt practices at the Tema Harbour.
Details soon.
