Quincy Owusu-Abeyie could provide the spark and magic for Ghana's World Cup campaign in South Africa, ex-international Tony Baffoe has said.
The player currently on loan at struggling Portsmouth has not played for Ghana since appearing for the Black Stars in a world cup qualifier against Libya when he arrived late and angered Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac with his attitude.
Now he says he has grown up and has looked lively and creative for, "Portsmouth even when they have had their backs against the wall all season.
“I have always said Quincy has the ability to be our Cristiano Ronaldo: he is skilful, pacy and clever with the ball, he could be very useful for Ghana at the world cup. I like him a lot and I hope he makes that squad for the World Cup," Baffoe said.
Baffoe admits though that to make the squad the player's attitude which so infuriated Rajevac must change.
"The coach has to think about his squad harmony and in a setting when players could live together for up to a month, you need all the dynamics to be right. But I think Quincy has come good lately and the way he is enjoying his football at Portsmouth says everything."
