Head of the Ghana Football Association Technical Directorate, Francis Oti Akenten, has backed Samuel Tetteh to impress on his official debut Black Stars call up.
Avram Grant added the WAFA midfielder to his 23-man squad for next week’s 2018 World Cup qualifier against Comoros.

The 19-year-old has been consistent for the junior national teams this year having featured for the Black Satellites, Black Meteors and the local Black Stars.
“Everybody is elated especially myself for the inclusion of Tetteh in the squad. If he is given the opportunity to be in the starting eleven, he will be able to prove his worth,” said Akenten
“We are also praying that at the end of the day everything will go well for the team. The boy, I strongly believe if he is given the chance, will be able to fulfill the expectations that Ghanaians are yearning for.”
Coach Akenteng added that Tetteh’s invitation to the team is a testimony that Avram Grant is monitoring the local scene.
“We should continue to believe that Avram is monitoring the league and Maxwell Konadu’s appointment as head of the local Black Stars team has not been in vain.
“Look at what has happened, I think we should just be patient and be watching them to see what will happen.”
