Leeds made it back-to-back wins in the Championship with victory in the West Yorkshire derby over Huddersfield Town.
After a forgettable first 45 minutes, the game burst to life in first-half stoppage time after a head injury to Leeds defender Liam Cooper.
Mirco Antenucci poked United in front from six yards before Chris Wood fired in to double the lead before the break.
Alex Mowatt struck a stunning long-range third before Huddersfield's James Vaughan was denied by Marco Silvestri.
It was Leeds' fourth successive derby victory over the Terriers, in which they have scored 13 goals, and means that following Tuesday's win over Cardiff they have now won two and drawn two from boss Steve Evans' five games in charge.
And there was plenty to ponder for new Huddersfield head coach David Wagner, who watched from the stands before taking charge on Monday.
There was nothing to choose between the two sides in a scrappy first 45 minutes during which the only real incident of note was Cooper's clash of heads with team-mate Scott Wootton, which resulted in the defender being carried off.
But Leeds took control of the contest during the eight minutes of injury time that followed, with Italian striker Antenucci touching home Stuart Dallas's right-wing cross.
Antenucci then turned provider, beating the offside trap and rounding Terriers goalkeeper Joe Murphy before seeing his pull back deflected into the path of Wood, who fired home from 10 yards for his fifth goal in five games against Huddersfield.
Mowatt then made sure Leeds took all three points back to Elland Road with a brilliant swerving shot from 30 yards.
