Hearts of Oak full back Joseph Owusu Bempah has lauded the training techniques new coach Kenichi Yatsuhashi has brought to the club.
This follows skepticism which hanged around the appointment of Kenichi after many touted him as a mere college coach. Yatsuhashi is bent on overturning Hearts of Oak’s dismal run where they have gone six years without a league trophy.
According to the Black Satellites captain, he and his colleagues have enjoyed their first week of pre-season under the tutelage of the Japanese American.

“To me he is good because the training routine he has been giving us is really good,” Bempah told Joy Sports.
“So far we have been enjoying him. We are experiencing new training techniques. My colleagues and I are talking about the training. It is a new thing all together [and] we are enjoying it. I think he will bring good things this season.”
“We are trying to make sure we pass through our fitness level and we make sure go to our ball work. We are ensuring we get to our maximum level that we can get for the next season.”
Hearts are expected to intensify their pre-season preparations with the league rumored to start in December.
