President John Mahama has condemned the murder of a supporter of the opposition New Patriotic Party in the Asawase constituency of the Ashanti Region over internal party disagreements.
Speaking in the Upper West Regional capital, Wa said the incident was unfortunate, unpardonable and should not be tolerated.
Abubakar Saddiq was part of the angry Akufo-Addo loyalists who locked up the Asawase Constituency office, Thursday in protest over comments made by the Chairman of the Constituency, Isaac Brenya.

The deceased and several other supporters had threatened to beat up Mr Brenya for supporting the suspended National Chairman of the party, Paul Afoko and for making comments they thought was derogatory to Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
He was said to have gone to the constituency office on hearing the office had been ransacked Friday morning but was attacked and murdered by unknown assailants.
President Mahama said he has directed the police to do all they can to bring the perpetrators to book.
“These things that are happening – acid bath – is wrong and recently another supporter was stabbed. It is not acceptable and I have asked the police to investigate, find those who did it and bring them to book.
“There is no place in our politics for this kind of violence. No amount of political power is worth shedding a drop of blood of any Ghanaian. Politics is not a life and death struggle, politics is live and let live”, he added.
