The court, presided over by Mr. Korkor Achaw Owusu, adjourned the case to 24 November, 2015.
Abubakar Saddiq was murdered Friday afternoon in an attack linked to the suspension of the party's National Chairman, Paul Afoko.
Saddiq was one of the loyalists of NPP flagbearer, Nana Akufo-Addo, who locked up the Asawase Constituency office Thursday after followed by another on Friday. It was in protest over comments made on TV by a pro-Afoko supporter and Chairman of the Constituency, Isaac Brenya .
Hours after the Friday morning's protest, Abubakar was stabbed a few meters away from the NPP constituency office in Asawase in the Ashanti Region.
Reports indicate the assailants, who were on a motorbike, attacked him with machetes and quickly sped away.
Dunia alias Muhammadu has been identified by the police as the man who stabbed and killed Saddiq.
He and one other suspect, ‘Big Man Lebu' believed to have chased the deceased with a locally manufactured pistol, are yet to be arrested.
DCOP Kofi Boakye emphasized that the investigation is devoid of any partisan, tribal or any sectional considerations.
“We would like people to allow the police to do their work. This is a murder investigation, all that we know is that somebody has been killed,” he stated.
