Ghana coach Avram Grant has given himself a pass mark for his time in charge of the Black Stars following his appointment to the role almost a year ago.
Grant led the Black Stars to the final of this year's Nations Cup where they lost to Cote d'Ivoire in a penalty shootout. The Black Stars are also topping their 2017 Nations Cup qualifying group and have qualified for the group stage of the World Cup qualifiers after defeating minnows Comoros in the second round.
Looking back in an interview, the Israeli tactician contended that he had done well, but acknowledged that there was still a lot of work to be done.
"We have big ambitions for this team. We did well for in the African Cup. We did well and we want to continue. It\'s a process. Next month I will finish one year in my job and I think for the first year it was a good job," Grant noted to Pulse.
"It's good [first year in charge of Black Stars] but there's a long way ahead of us. Our target now is to qualify to the World Cup and to qualify to the African Cup. We know that we can make good things."
The former Chelsea of England and Israel boss also took time to praise Comoros for their performance against his team. Both sides drew 0-0 in Mitsamiouli before Ghana won the second leg 2-0 in Kumasi.
"All credit to Comoros. They played very well, they fought very well, they defended very cleverly, they moved the ball forward. They didn't get any chances but it was not easy to play against them."
