Three friends who were out for fun at a restaurant in Tema ended up receiving perhaps the worse beatings of their lives when a group of police officers pounced on them.
The police officers, also three in number, are said to have launched the attack when they saw one of the three men engaged in an altercation with another policeman stationed at the restaurant.
Ahmed Anas Alpha, one of the victims of the brutality, is said to be receiving treatment at the Court Clinic in Community One.
He told Joy News he was kicked several times in his abdomen by the police officers who defied pleas by by-standers to stop inflicting any more pain on him.
Meanwhile, two of the three assaulted men are still in custody at the Tema Community Two police station.
