Alpha Bah plundered a brace in the second half of extra-time as Senegal took full advantage of Richard Anang's dismissal to claim a shock 3-1 victory over Ghana in the semi-final of the WAFU Cup on Friday.
The Black Stars were the runaway favourites coming into the game, but went behind on 28 minutes when Mane Asiane put Senegal in front. Parity was restored three minutes after the interval through Idan Bismarck and neither side could find any further goals in regulation time.
The story remained the same in the first half of extra time, until Anang got himself sent off in the second period.
Senegal gratefully accepted the gift of an extra man to punish the tired Ghana team with Bah claiming his first in the 113th and a second four minutes later.
Senegal will now play Nigeria in Sunday's Final, while Ghana play Burkina Faso in the Losers Final on the same day.
