The nationwide Constitutional Review Consultations (CRC) begin today at Sogakope in the Volta Region.
President Mills inaugurated the CRC in January to provide a draft bill for a comprehensive amendment of the 1992 Constitution.
The district and community consultations are therefore to solicit views on some of the constitutional provisions which need to be amended.
Executive Secretary, Raymond Atuguba, tells Joy News members of the public have up to September to submit their proposals.
There have been several proposals submitted to the commission for consideration in the review process.
The review is expected to include a ceiling to the number of judges appointed to the Supreme Court as well as the decoupling of the Ministry of Justice and Attorney General’s Department.
