The Deputy Upper East Regional Minister has been involved in an accident Thursday afternoon, Joy News can confirm.
Mrs Lucy Awuni was on her way to Garu to inspect the extent of damage caused by recent floods in the area when her car ran into a ditch.
Joy News’ Upper East Regional correspondent Joseph Osei said the minister’s car somersaulted three times before landing.
She is said to have sustained minor injuries and rushed to the hospital.
Some journalists accompanying the minister were also said to have sustained minor injuries.
