The Agona Nsaba police have arrested a 35-year-old drinking bar operator, Kobina Baah, at Duakwa, for allegedly defiling a 13-year-old house girl.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Joseph Abgogya, the Agona Nyakrom District Police Commander, told the GNA that on April 8 this year, Madam Grace Armah, an auntie of the victim, travelled to Accra to attend a wedding and left the girl in her store.
Baah, whose drinking bar is very close to Madam Armah's store, asked the girl to come for a bottle of Fanta to quench her thirst and she went.
The suspect fondled her breast, had sex with her and warned her not to inform her auntie.
The Inspector said on her return from Accra, the girl's auntie noticed a change in her walking and when she questioned her she revealed that the suspect had sex with her twice and a report was made to the police.
He said the suspect went into hiding until he was arrested some days later.
Chief Inspector Agbogya said another case of defilement of a 12-year-old girl has been lodged against the suspect by one Mr Robert Baah of Duakwa.
