The people of Wadie-Adwumakase would now have access to good drinking water following the inauguration of two boreholes costing ¢130 million.The Kumasi East Rotary Club and the Mechanicsburg North branch of Rotary Club in the United States funded the boreholes.Mr Charles Robert Amoako, Secretary of the Kumasi East Rotary Club, said the project was undertaken in response to the appeal made by the community for assistance in provision of potable drinking water.He appealed to the community to raise funds to ensure the maintenance of the facility at all times.Nana Osei Hwedie, chief of Wadie-Adwumakase, thanked the donors and said the facility would help solve the perennial water problem facing the people.He appealed for additional boreholes to cater for the growing population of the town.Source: GNA
