Mr. Vincent Kuagbenu, Executive Director of the National Service Scheme (NSS), has assured service personnel of prompt payment of new allowances.The monthly allowance has been adjusted from GH¢144.00 to GH¢202.00 and payment would begin next month ending.Mr Kuagbenu was addressing a cross-section of service personnel in the Kumasi Metropolis after they had undertaken a three-hour clean up exercise at the Adum central business area in Kumasi.He asked the personnel to be punctual and hardworking to help raise productivity at their various work places.Nana Asiedu Boafo, the Metropolitan Director of NSS, commended the personnel for turning out in their numbers to participate in the exercise.
He said most diseases that afflict the people could be prevented if the environment was kept clean and urged the service personnel to adopt healthy lifestyles to avoid becoming ill.Source: GNA
