Ghana defender Harrison Afful is convinced he has done enough to attract European suitors after winning this season’s Tunisian title with Esperance in his first season at the club.
The 23-year-old left-back was a bit-part player in Ghana’s silver winning feat at the Africa Cup of Nations in Angola early this year.
He joined the Tunisian side last season from local giants Asante Kotoko after abortive trials with Feyernord, K.V Mechelen and Helsingborgs.
The former Gomoa Feyernord versatile player has set his target of moving to any of the European sides at the right time.
“I am glad I helped my club to win the title in my first season here and of course it is the dream of any player to play for any of the top notch European side,” Afful told a local radio station in Accra.
“It was not easy at all in the beginning but I thank God, he has seen me through well and hopefully we will do well in next season’s champions league. For now I want to salvo the moment and leave the rest for destiny.”
