Barcelona star Luis Suarez has denied stamping on Aymen Abdennour on purpose after the Valencia defender showed his battle scars on Instagram.
Abdennour, who helped his team to a 1-1 draw against Barcelona at the Mestalla on Saturday, clashed with Suarez in the second half of the Liga match. And the former Monaco centre-back wanted to show the world what it is like to mark Suarez when posting pictures of his cuts and grazes on Instagram.

However, Suarez adamantly denied that he targeted the defender on purpose – particularly in reference to an alleged stamp. “I did not stand on Abdennour's foot on purpose,” said Suarez. “I turned around, I stepped on him and that is why I apologised.”
