Black Stars midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang Badu has been ruled out of action for two weeks after sustaining an injury over the weekend.
Agyemang Badu who stars for Italian side, Udinese lasted only 26 minutes on the pitch after coming on as a substitute as the Zebratta's held Cagliari to a 2-2 draw last Sunday at the Stadio Sant'Elia.
The Ghanaian midfielder replaced Damiano Ferronetti on 50 minutes but was substituted by Juan Guillermo Cuadrado 26 minutes later after sustaining the injury.
Information gathered by GNA Sports indicates that the midfielder will be out of action for two weeks after scans revealed that he overstretched a muscle in his left knee.
The injury thus effectively ends Agyemang Badu's season with Udinese as he will be unavailable for their remaining two games against Bari on May 5 and Lazio on May 16.
The player is however expected to recover fully ahead of the Black Stars camping for the South Africa 2010 FIFA World Cup on May 24 in Paris, France.
The hardworking midfielder is highly tipped to be named in the final 23-man squad after a sterling performance at the Orange 2010 Africa Cup of nations in Angola early this year.
He is fondly remembered for converting the last spot kick that ensured the Satellites won the FIFA U-20 World Cup trophy at the expense of Brazil in Egypt last September.
