Ex-international Nii Odartey Lamptey has urged the thirty players called up into Milovan Rajevac's provisional squad to focus on self-discipline during their short holidays with the 2010 World Cup in mind.
Ghana's European based stars who dominate the squad are heading back into town for their short holidays before gathering in Paris for their pre-World Cup camp on May 24 in Paris.
Lamptey reckons the temptation to let their hair down and have a good time after their grueling season will be high for the players but insist with World Cup football to come in less than a month, the players must put the nation first.
"Between now and when they report to camp, it will be down to the individual players to look after themselves well," he said.
"It will depend on the professionalism of those players because they will need to be in the best condition for the tournament. It means they have to cut on the late night outings and effectively live as though they were in the middle of a season. It will be a sacrifice worth making."
