Stephen Appiah continued to bag more playing time as he made his first start for Bologna to round up the Serie A season.
The Ghana captain, who only made his league debut last weekend since January move to the Italian league was handed a rare start as Bologna completed the season with a 1-1 away result against Cagliari.
Appiah lasted for 66 minutes before making way for Massimo Mutarelli.
The game at the Stadio San Elia was the Ghana captain's second competitive game at Bologna after injury and contractual problems kept him out of club action for almost two years.
Appiah, 29, has been named in the Black Stars' 30-man provisional squad for the World Cup.
