Braimah Kamoko popularly known as Bukom Banku believes he and Ayittey Powers have transformed Ghana boxing after the sport seemingly lost its popularity amongst Ghanaians.
The pair will be in action for the second time on December 26 at the Baba Yara stadium in Kumasi in a fight dubbed “Repeat or Revenge.
“Ayitey Powers and I are the crowd pullers. Boxing was dead already but my brother and I resurrected boxing,” he told Joy Sports.
Bukom Banku also indicated he is putting in a lot of work to defeat Powers for the second successive time as he debunked rumors of going in for spiritual powers.
“I am training hard. Boxing is not about juju, if it was about juju Senegal, Nigeria and India would have won many titles.”
The Bukom based boxer also praised event organizers Joy Daddy for their role played in the promotion of the fight and hoped for a big crowd come December 26
“Joy Daddy is a big brand and they can promote and we have the best promoter promoting this fight.”
“We are hoping to see a bigger crowd in Kumasi than what we saw in Accra.”
Bukom Banku will be hoping to keep his undefeated record intact as he faces Ayitey Powers.
